Default 95 940 Soaked Rear Headliner

Have a 95 940 Turbo wagon with sunroof. Been raining hard. The rear headliner in the cargo area passenger side is soaked and dripping water in rear corner. Wet spot moves up the passenger side getting less wet as going forward. Does not feel wet around the sunroof. I park on a slight uphill incline. Any ideas where the water might be coming from? Thanks

plugged sunroof drain hoses? the sunroof is in a drainage tray, which has 2 hoses that run down both sides of the car in the C pillars and drain behind (or maybe its in front of) both rear wheels, there's also 2 front drain hoses down the A pillars that drain behind the front wheels.

Do you think it's most likely clogged at the drain end by the wheels? Best way to access and clear? Or think it's clogged at the entrance in sunroof tray?

or at one of the elbows or junctions in the middle. I usually run a bicycle brake cable up/down drain hoses, then flush with some water. catch-22 is, its hard to get to the top side without removing the head liner.

I have the same problem. Water is coming out of the right rear corner from underneath the headliner and dripping down onto the headrest and flat area behind seats (speaker area) and under the rear windshield. How do you access the rear drains to inspect/clear them? Thanks!

The rear sunroof drain exits over the rear wheel well and into a drain spot in the right and left storage area in the trunk. Start by blowing compressed air from the trunk exit toward the sunroof to check if there is blockage. Then you can try using a length of weed whacker whip and feed into the sunroof side. Use compressed air and work from the trunk exits.

Thanks so much! I will try this. I thought my mechanics would have known or tried this, but they just said that the “rear drains are hard to access”. They had the car all summer, so it seems they could have at least attempted it 😭

Better clean the front drain holes, they are easy, then park facing downhill so the water drains out of the front. The back holes are hard to access, I haven't had good result with the blowing air method. You have to drop the headliner to do a good job.
