There is 940SE for 1991 only, a 960 with a turbo.
There is a 940GLE which had the 16 valve motor, 1991 only.
The 940GL was a 1992 only which had the four light front and some other minor features.
There is no GLS, in the US at least, or a GL after 1992.
The 940 was sold with various options groups, what varied was front ends (fog or no fog), sunroofs, wheels, leather or cloth interiors, cold packages, power seats, cruise, etc. And of course turbo or NA.
No US 940 ever came with a manual trans.
940 went til 1995 in the US, 1998 in other parts of the world, mainly because of the OBD2 required in the US starting in 1996.

No, I haven't seen it yet. Just thought I'd throw out a few feelers and try and save myself a trip. But you're right about pick-n-pull, they can be real loose on identifying their inventory.

There is no GLS designation, nor GLT for 940, at least not in the US! 1992 940 GL (only year that says GL on the back) came with either leather or cloth and all had roofs. The 1992 GL also had dark grey painted moldings over the inboard side of the bumpers, later dropped on the non turbo cars...
