Please delete

Hi, very new here. I drive a 95 850 Turbo Sedan, and after replacing just about every part of this night mare of a Volvo, the back passenger door will not open. Not from the inside or outside. The lock pulls up just fine, but the door is just stuck.

Any ideas I can do/check myself to avoid the shop fee?

Our second baby is due any day and I really need both back doors to work!

Is the car definitely a 1995 model or is it a 240Turbo? 240 turbos were last built in 1985. If it is a 95 and a turbo, then it would have to be a 940T. Doors are a bit different.

 

Sorry, it's an 850, It is a 95 and it is a Turbo. (My last was an 80's 240 Turbo)

 

my 1990 240 had the same problem. You have to get the inside panel off, which is a pain with the door closed, but possible. Then take out the door latch. There was a small spring in mine that had gotten out of position. I fixed that and the door works. Sometimes after I shut it, it acts like it won’t open again. When I pull up on the lock from the inside it opens fine. Hope this helps
Forgot to mention.. to get door open to get to latch, use long flat screwdriver and a flashlight to push up tab inside door latch that will open door.
