Default Air Mass Sensor- Rebuilt Supposed To Look New?

I had the Air Mass replaced on my Volvo 240 DL. The price of it was about $70.00 more than if I would of bought it off the internet and did it myself. Since I was short of time, I went ahead and had the shop do it. I was kind of expecting a Air Mass Sensor box to be newish looking. I know these are rebuilt boxes, but are they supposed to look used? Is this a rebuilt one or used non rebuilt?

Well, did they sell you a NEW, USED or REBUILT unit? Rebuilt may look quite used, it's inside what counts, new is new, and rebuilt they open the cap by cutting around its edges, then resealing it afterwards. I guess it depends on what you were sold, how much you paid, and if it does the job. Oh, and for how long, warranty?
