Just bought a 1990 780 that when you put the key in the ignition it beeps (like it should) but after I start the vehicle it just keeps beeping. The doors are shut and the seat belts latched. Other than grabbing the wiring diagram and trying to find the issue. Is there anything I'm missing?

 

check all your fuses?

 

Does the dome light stay on also? If so, I would start looking at the door jam button to see if it has failed, or not being depressed.

 

As I recall, that's what happens when the radio/ cig lighter fuse blows... definitely a fuse though...

 

well the radio doesnt work right now either, so what your saying might kill 2 birds with one stone.

 

it was fuse #5 iirc that was blown
