I have a 88 240dl and as of 2 days ago every time I put the key in the ignition the beep come on and stays on with seatbelts latched door closed the only time it stops is when I pull out the key any fix it suggestions

 

check the drivers door switch. its grounded via the screw that holds it into the door frame, and switches to ground when the door is opened.. it should only 'bing-bing' when the key is in the lock AND the drivers door is open, so if that wire is shorted to ground somehow, its going to bing all the time, I bet.

right now I can't actually FIND this circuit in the wiring diagrams for a 87/99 240 :-/
