Awesome Volvo 740 Powered by LS2 GM V8
Wouldn't mind having this. Body looks so clean.

From the article:
This Volvo 740’s model year isn’t mentioned, but we’re more interested in the LS2 V8 swap underhood anyway. The ad says a previous owner built the stock Volvo powerplant as far as possible, moved to Ford 302 power, and finally settled on the six liter, GM-sourced engine now installed. Built up for a supercharger that never came, it’s still said to be good for 400 plus HP which is channeled through an automatic trans and 3.73 geared limited slip rear.

I am sure once you get to check out the details a lot will be lacking. Besides the "wow" factor, what's the point? The thing is a maintenance nightmare, I am sure... And for $15k you can have a real car built by professionals without any of the associated headaches that would go with owning a frankenmobile like that.
pretty sure thats a 91/92 from the headlights and grill. has the dash of a 940. also has 940 seats that didn't come in the 740, but those are trivial to swap.

the small block Ford conversion that SwiftJustice did, described in detail on a sticky in this forum, would be way enough.
but funny thing happened here, I've started driving a 1990 Mercedes 300E2.6, and its SO much more refined of a car than a Volvo that the 740 feels like a truck by comparision. I've been keeping my eyes open for a 400E/E420 of the same chassis generation, why transplant a V8 when the factory made one ? truthfully tho, even the 2.6L I6 mine has is plenty of power, and smooth as silk.
