Hi there, I found a good deal on powered leather seats for my 850, currently I have the manual seats, is there any problem installing powered seats? can i simply plug them in or will I need extra wiring?

There is wiring you will have to do if the powered seat harness is there. If the powered seat harness is not there since you have manual seats, you probably won't be able to because the memory part of the seat is wired into a computer/diagnostics system. I tried different harnesses to make a power S70 seat work in my passenger manual seat and I could not get it to work.

 

The Volvo's were wired for every option at the factory, so you should have harnesses.

 

My manual passenger seat did not have have the harness there for the powered seat option, so they're not all prewired. Luckily, I was able to cut out the plug from my wagon which had power seats, but even using the plug and a constant 12V power/ground, I was still unable to run the power seat.

Yes, my wagon that I had for parts had both powered driver and passenger seats.
