They are a much better chip than some other, less developed chips. Some other chips are "tuned" by feel on the road, with precious little, if any dyno time and are right on the limit. Meaning it may work on one car, but melt pistons faster than an Icelandic volcano melts snow on another.....
The Hi Tuning chips don't just make peak horsepower and ruin fuel economy. They're a very well tuned chip, developed on the vehicle they are made for. They improve part throttle driveability, throttle response, power etc as well as allowing you to wind boost way up.
My car, with both of these chips (I have LH 2.4, so two ECU's) has very much improved power and torque, driveability and my fuel economy actually improved too.
But, you MUST ensure the vehicle is in a great state of tune and keep it that way, the chips require you to use the best fuel at all times too, which you should be with a turbo anyway.
I've accidentally spiked 25 psi and not hit any sort of cutout with these chips....
Regards, Andrew.
