Default Brake fuse blows

Just bought a used 92 240 sw. The brake fuse keeps blowing out. At first I thought it was working ok. and it did again while trouble shooting, but now they blow again. On one side, the lights were brighter than the other side.... after trouble shooting, I found that the brake and tail light wires were reversed on the bright side, so that when the lights were on and no brake applied, the drivers side was brighter. changed the wires around, now both sides have the same brightness... only the tail light element is light up. SO, where do I start for the brake light short? also, what is the top light supposed to be? bottom seems to be brake and tail, one up is blinker, then backup light, then top is another red lens but doesn't come on.... dont know...

Default RE: Brake fuse blows

never mind... found it... the 3rd brake lite wire was shorted at the hinge for the back hatch... looks like a lot of wires short out there.
