broke reverse lockout m47 HELP
Was driving car today and when I went to lift lockout on reverse it a made a pop. So I can not longer use reverse. I have looked on google and find alot of info on the m46 but I have m47. Is info that same? I know I will have to order some parts. Can I remove the reverse lockout plate so I can still drive the car? Thanks for any help.
its a 90 Volvo 240 DL. Had time to take shifter boot off and looks like something inside the shifter is broke. The bottom plastic piece doesnt move when I pull of on the reverse lever. I think tranny is fine. Thanks for any help.
Yeah, IDK about the M47, but when the reverse lockout snapped in my M46 I was able to lift up the lockout ring after removing the shift **** and put some JB Weld on the broken part. Then, because I had to drive the car, I lifted up the lockout from the bottom of the shifter (With boot removed) and put a ziptie on it so I could use reverse until the JB dried.
