HELP! I broke the only key that I have to my 1989 240DL. The key can not be mended (JB Weld) back together to make a duplicate at the local hardward store. Anyone got any suggestion as to how I can get a new key for the current door lock and ignition?

 

The Dealer should be able to cut one from your Vin#.

 

or you can remove the door lock from the passenger side door and take it to a locksmith. They can cut any key from the code on that lock, if they have a blank that is.
