Default a/c compressor belt

Ok, I admit I am a novice but belts I can usually do but I must be missing something here.

I can't get the a/c compressor belt off. All the others were fine.

I loosened the bolt and the adjustment screw but nothing moves. I tried to look for a pivot bolt but they all seem to be connected to the frame part or when I loosen them they don't move.

the AC compressor should be mounted in a inverted L shaped bracket and it pivots on rubber bushings attached to the lower point of this L when you adjust the adjuster screw.

here's the parts diagram for a 240's AC compressor mounting.

its a little confusing.

ok, part #2 is said L bracket. the compressor is bolted to parts 5 (4 of them). the adjuster (7,6) is attached to the top pair of 5's, while the bottom pair of 5's pivot on the lower pair of bushing #3s. you have to loosen the nut on the face of the adjuster thats on bolt 9 in order for it to move. the pieces 6,7 with the adjuster pivot on another pair of bushing 3's that are in the 2nd hole from the top.

Wow what a pain in the neck.

Getting to that bolt 9 an nut 11 is a pain. Finally figured out that if I removed the MAF I could access it a whole lot easier.

Would have helped to have this diagram earlier lol

She's finally off.

Exhaust manifold is off, radiator out, fan out, belts off, water pump out, timing intake manifold and timing belt tomorrow.

Cylinder head is here (found one on eBay for $200 (redone too) talked him down from $300).

She'll be purring like a new car soon.
