Default A/c Compressor pulley slipping

When I got home from my parents house (3 hour drive) I noticed a noise coming from the engine. It was running fine the whole way home and still is. I opened up the good to notice the belt running from the crank pulley to the a/c pulley was slipping, causing the pulley itself to turn roughly. While the power steering pulley works fine. I inspected the belt and, after deeming it fit, I tightened it. I turned the engine on again to see the result. Now, the belt and pulley do not slip, but the front part of the pulley (it's not the pulley itself, I'm thinking part of the compressor) rotates unevenly and is still making the noise, even though the belt and pulley the belt goes to seems to be operational. My first thought is a bearing within the compressor. Any other thoughts or diagnosis? Also, my a/c already doesn't work. Thank you. I'll add a video when I get the chance.

The A/C compressor may be seizing up, and this will make the belt to slip. You have to get another compressor (probably not worth it), or modify the compressor pulley to just spin freely, or get a bypass kit to eliminate the compressor altogether. These used to be sold by IPD, don't know if still available.

IPD does still sell the kits, but unfortunately only up to '84. I read somewhere that you can use spacers to extend the ps pulley to line up with the crank pulley. So I'm gonna give it a shot.
