Default A/C Low pressure port location?

1988 Volvo 240 GL. I cannot find the location of the low pressure port. I have heard it is behind the MAF sensor, but I cant seem to find that either. My haynes manual doesnt show many pictures or describe where the location is.

Thanks in advance.

There is a port on the back of the compressor and another one on the receiver/dryer.

I'm not sure if that is a port or not on the receiver/dryer, but, in any case, it would be on the high side of the system and a bad idea to charge through it. I've pretty much decided that A/C is *not* what Volvo does best....

You may or may not have a port on the R/D but if you do you can attach a gauge set and verify if you have freon in the system. If it is empty it won't matter which port you check because you have a bigger problem then just topping off the freon. If there is freon in the system and it just needs a charge then your best bet would be to use the suction port on the compressor. There are fittings that allow you to do this.
