Default Can I fit windshield trim on this?

My windshield is missing the decorative molding that goes around it. I want to get new molding, but my windshield is not center. Whoever last installed the windshield put it off-center, too low, just about touching the bottom of the area that it goes into, with a larger gap above it. If I buy new trim, will I be able to fit it around the windshield as it is, or will I need to get a new windshield and make sure it's exactly center?

The windshield can be removed and reset without to many problems. I think the big problem will be finding the chrome trim. My 89 740 chrome trim was damaged when I had my windshield replaced a few years ago. Couldn't find a replacement in the US but the glass company found a used on in Europe. Cost them $2500 to get it here and I was on them every day to get it done. So I don't know if the 240's are available but good luck.

the windshield is glued in place, adn the odds of removing it without breakin git are between slim and none.

the best thing to do with a 240 is to get the 1992-1993 windshield that has integral trim and mounts flush, this will make the car quieter at elevated freeway speeds and solves the trim problem entirely.

no, its not chrome, its black.

This could be with a 240 but my 740 windshield was removed to fix rust spot under the top corner and reinstalled . They did it without the trim and had to be removed and reinstalled again when they found the trim. It was done by Safelite who sent a installer who was familiar with early Volvo's.

Default 2006 XC 70 wagon: side windshield panel

wrong section of this forum, that is definitely NOT a 240/740/940... you probably want over here, https://volvoforums.com/forum/2001-2...-year-xc70-53/
