Cant find gasket for Exhaust to manifold
Hello I have a 1992 Volvo 940 GL non turbo and I'm having a hard time figuring out what gasket is needed where The exhaust pipe meets the manifold,The mechanic neighbor who looked at my car said It is a round doughnut gasket but Everywhere I call to order a part says the gasket is flat, and the only round doughnut gasket is where the pipe meets the catalytic converter. So I need to know if my neighbor is correct or not correct,I bought what is called an exhaust manifold gasket and he says it is the wrong one,He said this is a gasket for the engine and manifold Vs the exhaust pipe to manifold. Can someone help with info?
is this a regina, or a 16 valve DOHC ? (my parts catalog isn't showing a straight B230F Bosch LH2.4 in 1992 for a 940 sedan).
for the B230F Regina, its showing a flat gasket with two ports. ditto for the B234F 16-valve... but, volvos were real parts bin cars at times, and who knows what combination of stuff you have.
