Default It comes and goes!???

Have a 1991 740. After driving it for a few minutes, there is the worst shimmy in the steering wheel that last for awhile several minutes/miles. Then it goes away and can return. Don't know if it is related or separate, but, I also have a dramatic pull to the right when I break. Bad tire? Alignment? Balance? Caliper? The tires are old and about to be replaced.

Unrelatedly, how do I turn off the service light with the button on the dash?

Thanks for all suggestions!!!

I would check everything in the front end.

Also for the service light you should have to pull the rubber grommet out and use a small screwdriver to push the button in with the key on and it should reset it.

Outer Tie rod ends, Inner Tie Rods, and maybe your Calipers are no longer floating and stickingand are in need of replacement........or a broken Belt in One of the Tires, sometimes after a few hardpot hole hits the Belts inside a tire can De-Laminate from inside the tire.......Like TECH Said check EVERYTHING in Front End...
