compressor clutch
Have you considered re-shimming the clutch to bring the magnet nearer? This can usually be done without taking the compressor out of the car so you don't have to worry about re-gassing.
Okay, just reshimmed the clutch and it will now lock up and run, but no cold air...it does click on and off though....low freon?....okay only found one port, on the accumilator, where's the other one?
okay went out and got one of those 134 recharge kits with gauge, showed 10 to 15 ish, added freon , also noticed the cooling fan wasn't engaging....temp.hot wired for testing, air is...cool at best, but only on right vents nearest evap......also noticed when I increase the idle to say 2000 rpm, clutch will start kicking in and out, stays on at idle though, also dryer doesn't get cold, the high presure line does though near firewall....any ideas
Well I stopped at 33 psi..right? Well that was yesterday, now today checked it again and it was low...leak, well yeah...also a bum fan relay is why the fan isn't coming on....time to get out the dye and see where it's leaking
