Default Converting 76' 240DL tank from external fuel pump to in-tank pump

My sending unit went bad on my 76' 240dl. Have looked for a replacement forever. Purchased a new one that was guaranteed to work, but had a separate bung ring (the original one has it built into the unit).
Kept looking, finally decided to update the tank to accept the new sending unit. Found a great one, but it isn't designed for an external fuel pump.
Haven't been able to find a tank that will take an external pump.
Ordered a universal pump that says it will work in-tank (or out). Just curious if there will be issues putting it inside the tank?
See attached.
Thanks.

Sometime around 1977 an intank feeder pump was added to 240 Volvos. It was used in addition to the fuel pump mounted under the drivers seat. The intank pump provided about 15 psi and the main fuel pump boosted it to the 70-80 psi needed for the CIS fuel injection system.

So After about 1977 all 240's had two fuel pumps. The feeder pump look like this and simply connects with a short piece of hose (and a sock filer on the exposed end). The picture you supplied is of a generic main fuel pump, to be mounted under the car. The factory bosch pump does not use rings terminals to connect power with.

the spec sheet they showed was specifically for a generic "In Tank" pump.

That's why I was confused. The specs don't match the picture.
I was posting here to see if anyone knew of an in-tank pump that would fit the bill?
I've been watching tons of videos of people converting their old tanks to handle an in-tank pump for their muscle cars (not that the Volvo is a muscle car Lol).
I'm in the situation where I don't have to convert, just need to find a strong enough in-line pump that will feed the engine.

A feeder pump and sending unit is like this

You will still need the main pump under the drivers seat to provide fuel pressure for your CIS system. If you have converted to something else (carbs) you won't need that much pressure - \

Don't waste your time on some aftermarket stuff that says it will work. Use or reuse your main fuel pump and put in a feeder pump. That what Volvo did in 1977 - when they figured out - Hey the main pump isn't enough to feed a CIS system! Lets put in a feeder pump!
