Default Why isn't there a sticky?

Really simple, there isn't a Sticky on how to change the timing-belt. AND, when I did a search, I stopped after about 3 pages of not finding anything.

There also isn't a Sticky on torque values....what i am looking for is the Camshaft nut and the Idler nut. I guess I'll look at my 850 manual and assume that the nuts have the same size bolt attached to them.

My manual ran off and hid...how the hello can a manual 4" thick, and 8.5x11 disappear?

the 850 motor is *very* different than the B230F(T) in 240/740/940...

there's tons of useful info in the 7XX/9XX FAQ here, https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/FAQSummary1.html

240's have the same engines and transmissions so much of it is directly applicable.

If you just put "Volvo 240 timing belt R&R" in your search all kinds of sites will pop up...

That is not the point. The point is that this site is lacking. If you do a search on THIS SITE, you won't find it.

I am a member of odyclub, crvownersclub, toyotanation, infamousnissan, ratsun, and others, and in the past frequented a mpvforum. They all have that sort of information.

On toyotanation, there is a link, in the FAQs that shows you how to do a complete in the car rebuild (to fix a factory defect w/Corolla pistons).

Youtube has a wealth of information...but usually no torque values, not even on the IDP link.

are you asking if you can author a thread on a how to or how to google for online documentation? Assuming the latter is more directly what you need, you can start with volvotips.com which has various shop manuals posted for 700/800/900s etc. You can also google to see if somebody posted a PDF of a Haynes manual ie google "volvo740 repair manual PDF". you can also build a set of bookmarks for other boards like turbobricks, matthews, swedespeed etc.

See if this helps: https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-9...CamReplacement
