Default Coolant leak at rear of water pump

Had timing belt replaced on a 93 240 a few weeks ago. Water pump was replaced at same time. Noticed leak under car today and found water dripping where metal tube to heater enters rear of water pump. It was getting dark so I couldn't get a good look at it. My question is how is that pipe attached to the rear of the water pump? Is there some sort of washer or seal, and does the pump have to come out to fix this leak?

It is attached with a bolt and a nut, 10mm. And the pump will have to come off to fix it-probably the rubber O ring is not seated properly.

Even money the seal is cut, meaning a new one will be needed. Too many people put the seal on the water pump. It needs to be slid onto the pipe.
