Default distributor

I still need to know how to check a magnetic pickup dist. for a 89 740 turbo.

Im still working on it. I have specs to check everything else but the Dist.

generally if it is a two wire pickup it puts out an ac voltage (gm) if it is a three wire pickup then one wire is power (either 5v or 12v), one wire is ground, and one wire is out put (usually 5v). You can test the output wire with a logic probe. it should flash on the output while cranking.
