My 92 240 has been having issues with a whining noise coming thru the speakers on the radio and gets alot worse if I hook my ipod to the charger while it's playing thru the aux on the radio.

I did have my alternator and battery tested and was told that my battery is bad but the alternator tests fine. I am going to replace the battery this Friday.

Another issue that has been going on for a while is my gas gauge fluctuates a bit while driving and tonight I noticed that my trip and odometer stopped but would all of a sudden start working again. Also the clock would randomly keep time after the car is off but some days it would be an hour off but I think that has to do with the battery.

I have been told by some people that when I replace my battery the issues should go away and some people say I should replace my alternator and battery. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and any advice on this.
