Electrical Issues
on my way back from Denver my hazzard switch was stuck closed. So i was trying to budge it open and the cap popped off Trying to put it back on. it wouldnt stay on and it wouldnt stay clicked in the off position. Currently its zip tied closed so i can still drive without it going off. Do i just need a new cover? And where could i find those.
Next issue.
When i used my right blinker, my bulb failure light comes on and blinks with the blinker. When i turn it off, the failure light goes off. And then when i turn on my lights parking or headlights. it goes on. Im assuming its just because of one of the blinker bulbs being out. But ive replaced both? Any ideas?
I need both these fixed asap for state inspection this month. Thanks!

if thats the emergency flasherr switch that sticks out of the side of the steering column, the click on - click off has nothing to do with the red lens/cover as mine is missing that cover and still works on/off properly.
the e-blinker switch is part of the turn signal switch assembly.
note, if your car is a 1991 940SE, everything I said is wrong, as the 940SE is actually a 960 with the turbo 4 cyl, and has different controls, dashboard, wiring, interior.
re: the bulb sensor, ugh, those can be a pain to troubleshoot. any imbalance in the current to the brake lights, tail lights, etc can cause it to light. corroded sockets, marginal grounds, mismatched bulbs will all cause false alerts. I always try and use the chrome base taillight bulbs rather than the brass base ones, in your bigbox auto parts stores that carry Sylvania lighting on hang cards, these are often on the dark green "OEM" series.
