Do you get any power at all at any of the injector wires?

The injectors are a negative pulse to fire.

If you smell fuel, then the plugs are not getting spark, most likely. First I'd look at the coil, buy one and try it. If it doesn't work, take it back and get your money. I'm thinking the coil is the problem. Based on smelling fuel, you can eliminate all fuel possiblities. How long has the gas been in the tank? If it's been years, you need to get fresh fuel in there. I'm not sure if draining the tank is necessary, I've never had to do that before. If the fuel is old, you may want to ask the person at the auto parts center what you can do to stabilize it. Like I said, I've never had to deal with that before. Good luck, I always try to help out a single mom, I was raised by one.
