Engine only starts up after cranking for a long time
ok so this is a continuation of the thread that i made about changing the top end gaskets.
So far ive got then engine to start up 2x but only after turning it over for a few min before it actually fired up.
once running it sounded almost normal.
Im not sure if my timming is still misaligned or not but i have a video and pictures that hopefully u guys can help me out with. Any help is appreciated.
This is the flash video of the engine trying to start

RE: Engine only starts up after cranking for a long time
Engine timing looks fine to me. Video don't work for me.
I would establish whether its spark or fuel delivery problems.
spraya 3 second blast ofether engine starter fluid into the intake bellows, it should fire right up.
If not...its very likely to be spark or injectorrelated.
Check for spark with an old plug or timing light.
Check for signal at injector connectors,I use a cheap multimeter,
watch the needle as you crank the engine, I think it shows 5v.
If not..swap the 2 relays on the coolant bottle bracket and try again.
If it does start with the ether its a fuel delivery problem,
could be pressure or , fuse or relay for pumps going bad due to solder joints overheating.

RE: Engine only starts up after cranking for a long time
i just dont understand why it fired up once and ran until i turned it off.
I will deff check the fuel and spark plugs soon. Thanks for the advice. Ill get back with results
BTW. The Video is a flash video and will need Macromedia Flash Player enabled to watch.
