I have a 1987 engine /tranny from my Mom's 740 GLE that got hit -it has 60 k on it. My question is what other models can I use this in since it does not have the camshaft sensor which they started using in 1989. CanI use it in a post 1989 Volvo by changing the wire harness and ECU? I have a 91 240 and a 93 940 turbo. I'd really like to use it in the 940 if that engine ever dies-anybody ever done anything like this?

 

I think they are both b230f engines. Just check to make sure distributor arraingement is the same.
