Default Flex Plate Torque Spec

Why is it so hard to find such a simple spec for torquing the bolts that hold the flex plate onto the crank shaft? Every where I look they only show the flex plate to converter bolt torque spec. Anyone have that handy? TD

It's a '93 940T wagon. Sorry I left that out!

You counterhold the crank with your 24mm socket and then use a 16mm wrench and another wrench on top of it and get em "tight enough" without stripping the heads of the bolts. Experience will teach you how to torque bolts based on their size and by feel.

How did you expect to fit a torque wrench in there anyways?

No problem getting a torque wrench on the bolts, which are 17 mm on my 940. The car is up about 18". I've done lots of guess torqueing but thought there should be a spec for 8 bolts that make you go ... or not go?
I put them at 50 lbs with red locktite.

I misread your post! I was thinking the 4 torque converter bolts... Sorry, I don't give this forum too much attention unless somebody posts back consistently.

Oh yes, you absolutely can get a torque wrench on the EIGHT flexplate bolts.

50lbs is more than enough. Im sure you could find the actual spec if you looked hard enough. Im not gonna do it.
