Hi please help. I own a 1991 240 and I love it. When I hit a bump there is a clunck noise coming from the front end. Everyting under the car is fine, nothing is loose. Somebody told me that it's probably the suspensions. I tried to push the car down from the front and it bounces back a few times. I was wondering if I need to change schocks and struts. I don't understand the difference between the two, are they one piece or are they separate. If it is the suspension the problem, do I need to change both strouts and schocks or just one of them.

Have you checked your strut bushings? My 740 1991 has same problem so I ordered new bushings and ball joints, should fix the problem and help handeling on the car greatly.
