Default front end alignment

Ok. I have put wheel spacers and new 16 inch wheels on my volvo 240. I know I need to get it aligned now. Will the factory alignment specs work since I have modified it. Thank in advance for your help.

You do not need an alignment for new rims or spacers.

factory specs should be what you want. The alignment on these cars only do toe in/out not caster or camber so a standard alignment should be all you need for the new tires. Note that with the wider tires you may feel some "nibbling" (ie when the tires want to follow a groove in the road) but that's normal. My only advise is to get a print out of the before/after to see how the shop met the spec (ie dead center on the spec - towards the toe in limit? etc).

I've found with wider tires you typically want a little less toe-in, or the steering pulls too strongly on a turn. you still want to stay in spec, just be on the closer-to-zero end of the range

I have 1/16th inch toe IN so that is 1/32nd on each wheel

also I have my camber maxed not to stock abilities which gives you about 0.5 degrees
