Fuel filter alternatives to stock '94 940?
My mechanic has informed me that he (I) have a problem. He's doing my service and when we talked today he explained that when he tried to service my fuel filter the nut/bolt and fittings were quite rusty and cannot be used to install the replacement filter. He's having trouble tracking down a replacement part.
I'm wondering if there are any alternatives out there that would fit. Any know if a 240, 850 or V70 installation kit would work? Or any other options out there?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

240, 740 may work... Any parts not available can be found in junkyards. If your car has no symptoms of a clogged fuel filter, (fuel starvation under heavy load) why replace it? I know the trades push replacements, but especially when it comes to fuel filters I don't think routine maintenance change is needed. Air and oil filters are different.

does this car have single or dual fuel pumps? (tank only or tank + main under car pumps)
there's 4 different versions of the redblock engine in a 1994 940...
1) B230F LH2.4, the classic
2) B230F Regina, the classic but with regina/rex spark and fuel
3) B230FD, the pulsair smog control system
4) B230FT, turbozoom which is LH2.4 managed.
assuming you got one of the ones with the main fuel pump under the car... here's the parts...
Thats for a Turbo, I'm *guessing* the parts are the same, although I know Turbos have a higher volume fuel pump. if you have a different engine, and want to tell me what part numbers you need, I can compare those pages.
punch those part numbers into www.tascaparts.com and you will find out if they are available, and how much. tasca gives both list and their discounted prices, if they have it you can get it from your local Volvo dealer (typically for list price).
edit: hey, looked up the #16 and #19 hollow screws things that go through the banjos, those are both $5-ish parts.
