Alternatives to volvo vacuum tester?
I need to check for leakage in my intake system. The "Volvo" way of doing it, according to VADIS, is to use positive pressure in the system and soap solution to look for air leaks. I know that carb cleaner and propane can be used in a similar manner, but I like the idea of not having the car running while checking pressure...less background noise to listen for hissing sounds. Any suggestions for rigging a homemade solution of putting positive pressure in the system?

I made this and use it to find leaks.

Nice rig! I don't have one of those caps you used from a new intake hose...have you any ideas for an alternative that I could find around the house or perhaps at the hardware store?
Also, since I replaced the seals on my injectors, is there a way to use your tool to test for leaks along the rail?

tech...I've got quite a bit of air flowing out of the oil fill hole...are you still able to pressurize the engine to 3 or 4 psi with the leaking air? I don't want to push it and blow a seal out.
edit...or it could be that I just forgot to clamp off the PCV hose and air is venting straight from the flame trap through the engine block and out the oil cap...doh!
