Angry Fuel Lines plastic to rubber

Ok I changed the fuel lines on the 940 because I f*cked them up. Tried to find the ones like came off but no luck. Noticed toady that when I tried to accelerate a few times, not every time, the car did not "buck" or try to cut off but just did not want to go. Let off the gas a little and it would go. Question is, the original fuel lines were plastic covered in rubber. I cut the fittings off the old line and used rubber lines and clamps. Is it possible that the rubber lines are collapsing and restricting?
