Fuel Type for 1992 Volvo DL-240
A simple question.
What fuel is needed for my 1992 DL-240 with BF-230F engine, non-Turbo? I was using Premium but by mistake I put regular in the tank at the last fill up. The manual indicates Octane rating 95 RON (what is RON?) followed by Unleaded, 91 (R+M)/2. Next Min 91 RON Unleaded, 87 (R+M)/2.
What are the formulas telling me?? Is Premium OK or an overkill?
Thx. I love VOLVOs and always used Premium fuel (Shell, EXXON, etc, etc). Can someone decipher the above for me??

RON is the octane rating used in anywhere but North America. NA uses R+M/2. 95 RON = 91 octane. 91 RON = 87 octane.
Since I see you are from Vermont, use the (R+M)/2 numbers. They will match what is on the pumps you see. 91 octane preferred, 87 minimum from the info you provided.
