Gurgling sound, major coolant leaking HELP
Hey fellow Volvo owners... I have a 1991 740 turbo sedan. Recently I've noticed that the coolant is leaking out from right under the driver side of the engine. I noticed small puffs of white smoke coming from the driver side hood vents so I pulled over and near that section of it looked like neon green coolant splattered all over. I noticed there was a small leak/dripping of coolant on the front of the engine block near the fan. I noticed my temperature gauge is also at 0 now, needle doesn't move at all but all other gauges are fine. My friend said we should replace the thermostat, would this help? I don't think that has anything to do with the major coolant leak. There is a large puddle of coolant under my car now. Any help is much appreciated! Last time I took my Volvo to the dealership to replace the coolant reserve tank they charged me $430 bucks so I don't want to go to the dealership anymore... learned my lesson.

If it is major, that much easier to find. Fill it up with water and run it while you watch where the water comes from... no need to go to a shop for that! It's the small leaks that are hard to find...
