Default HD Springs for 940 Sedan?

I'm looking to replace the rear springs on my 940 Sedan. I've found lots of info for rear HD springs on 940 Wagons, but not much for sedans. Any thoughts on those who have installed them?

I have Boge Turbo Gas shocks all around, as well as IPD 25mm Sway bars. I'm pretty happy with the current ride, and don't haul any large roads on a regular basis. That said, I don't mind having a "sporty" ride, if the HD springs don't compromise on ride comfort to much.

if you already have the turbo gas shocks and 25mm sway bars, the IPD sport springs would be a good match, front and rear.

Wagon HD springs harsh the ride on an empty wagon (but ride great with a full load!), I'd be VERY hesitant to put them on a sedan unless you're traveling with sacks of concrete in your trunk all the time.

Thanks. It looks like I'm going to stick with OEM-ride springs then.

You might try these:
More Information for MOOG CC219
They list them for a 740 but they'll fit all 940's. I put them on my '93 940 Turbo Wagon and they work great. Leave the front springs stock for a better ride.

wagon springs are heavier than sedan springs, and wagon HD springs are way heavier.

These More Information for MOOG CC219 are meant for a sedan. I used them on my wagon and they worked fine. All I had to due is add a 1/2 inch spacer under the upper mounting bolt to raise the rear end a little due to the added weight of the wagon.

How do the progressive springs compare with ride comfort with OEM-ride springs?

I used Neuspeed progressive springs on my 89 VW Jetta GLI back in the early 90s, along with boge progas shocks.... result was great on that car, slightly firmer ride, well damped so it had great road control. also had upgraded antisway bars, but only sligthly upgraded, not the full bore sport setup. that little car ate up mountain roads

The rear springs I used are not shortened or designed for lowering, so the ride is equal to or better than stock yet they stiffen up when needed.
