heater/ AC fan problems
Hey everybody,
I have a 95 940 and the fan for the heater/ac has been having issues for about 2-3 years. One day it just kind of died on me when on a long drive through the desert. When I got the time to take my dash apart i discovered that the connector on the back of the control panel had partially melted. I went to a junkyard and pulled a control panel out of a car there and it worked perfectly for a while. Eventually the high range fan speeds started going out on me and now it has almost completely died. I can feel cool air coming through the vents and I can swith between feet, defrost, face etc. but there is no blowing power from the fan.
Is this a problem with the voltage regulator? Maybe the vacuum lines have something to do with it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Pete

hotwire the blower fan motor and verify the motor isn't dragging or dying... if so, you'll need a new blower motor, major pain to replace, requires diasssembling the whole dash.
