Hi, I have 1993 240 station wagon.
I was using High Beam while driving country side road, now never back to Lo beam again....
Headlight switch On/Off works. Passing flasher High Beam works while headlight is Off.
When I pull lever, there is "click" sound but stay High beam ON all the time now.
Big silver metal covered relay at passenger side fender make sound when pull lever.
Anyone can help this?

sounds like the headlight 'step' relay has failed and gotten stuck in high mode.

 

Thank you Pierce. I replaced that step relay and now back to normal.
I also opened old relay cover, cleaned contact by sand paper. Thought it could have done this way instead of purchased brand now, it was expensive

 

sandpaper might make them work briefly but it also removes the protective plating and the contacts are likely to oxidize fairly quickly, so its often a short lived solution.

I use a thin strip piece of paper with a drop of Deoxit D100 to clean relay contacts.
