My Master Cylinder has "ATE" on it and my rear calipers are solid. not sure about the fronts, it's 30 degrees outside and I have not pulled a wheel yet.

Is it "ATE" or "Girling" calipers that I should order?

I know this has had to have been asked before, I searched but could not find an answer..HELP!!!

 

Hard to say without knowing the year and model.

 

Probably Girling up front. You will have to check your caliper to make sure. It should say it right on the front. you shouldnt have to remove the rim to see it, depending on the rim of course.

 

doh..... 1987 245 DL non turbo.

 

My 86 240 DL has a "G" on the outside of the caliper which stands for Girling. When my kids upset me I can become a "GRRRRRRR-ling"

 

There's a 98% chance it's Girling up front and ATE in the rear.

 

I got Girlings up front, there should be a G on the caliper if that's what you've got. If they're dirty it can be hard to see, but this is what the Girling G looks like:

Got it thanks to one of the guys on turbobricks forum. Girlings front, ATE rear!
Now I can order new ones
