How do I remove third brake light housing!?
Hello!
New 91 Turbo SE owner with a third brake light out. I've picked up a replacement bulb from the dealership but the gentleman said he couldn't provide any installation instructions or schematics. Of course. I don't see any sign of screws and don't want to crack the plastic by pulling at it in every direction. Simple I know, but very frustrating! I starting removing the panel behind the seats by removing the three plastic studs, but it won't come out due to the light! Help please!?!?
Cheers!

In my 94 940, the way to do it was to somehow slide a thin knife under the hood in the right places to separate the clips. The previous owner had broken everything so I replaced all the plastic (and the bulb) by taking off the entire trunk pannel. BTW this is a wagon.
You are supposed to slide a thin flat screwdriver under the bottom of the cover and pry down to release the catch, in theory. In reality, all these are so brittle from sun and light bulb heat that they crack almost always with any handling.
