Try posting in the correct area for a 240, way more likely to get an answer rather than
"New Member".
Also try youtube.

Remove the plastic skid plate under the engine. This allows bottom access to the alternator. Disconnect the battery (negative) ground wire. Note ( draw a picture ) where the wires connect to the alternator. Remove wires from alternator. Loosen top adjuster, and back off to loosen the fan belts. Loosen the bottom ( long) pivot bolt. Remove the v belts from alternator pulley. Remove the short bolt that goes through the top of the alternator. Remove the bottom ( long ) pivot bolt. remove alternator from the vehicle.

pretty much all volvo 240, 740, 940 bosch alternators have the same 3 wires. big massive red wire from the B+ terminal on the alternator that goes to the power terminal on the starter (and on to the + of the battery). skinny red wire that goes to the D+ terminal, this provides the 'kickstart' current via the BATT (ALT) light on the dashboard, and a ground wire.
