Default Idling question

OK, coming back from Atlanta two weeks back I noticed that my idling speed got lower and lower when I hit the 8 miles of traffic where I never went over 10 mph. It looked like it was threatening to stall, so I then decided to drive with two feet to keep it from stalling.
Long question short, everything that I have read points to a dirty/faulty IAC valve. I am looking to clean it, but if worse comes to worse, I can replace it. What I need to know is which one to get.
This one says it's for a BOSCH fuel system, but I am unable to tell the difference if it's a BOSCH or not.

If it's not that part, then I'll have to spend about twice as much on this one:

What I am hoping for is that the first one will fit, if needing replacement, than the second one because I don't have that much money to spare.

If you have a turbo, you have Bosch (as opposed to Regina). But years vary, not all Idle Valves are the same... Better verify numbers besides just appearance.

I looked at those and basically they both should fit. One is branded as Bosch while the other is branded Volvo. Since Bosch made the fuel injection system for Volvo, it should work fine. This is assuming, as Lev stated, that you have a turbo and all turbos had the Bosch fuel injection. If you have a non-turbo, you need to check if it is Bosch or Regina.

If you have doubts, give FCP a call. They are generally very helpful.

Before I would invest in a new IAC I would go through the idle adjustment procedure. 1st clean the throttle body and set the idle with the IAC disconnected (500rpm) and plugged. Once idle is set up and TPS is adjusted then plug in the IAC and see what you have . If it doesn't fix the problem then consider a new IAC.
