Default Intermittent and auxiliary gear placement

I recently replaced my timing belt and my front seals, and forgot to label my gears. Are the gears different size? Also, which one does the washer go behind?
My timing belt skipped 2 teeth, and isn’t starting anymore, so I’m hoping this was the issue. It didn’t feel very tight when I pulled on it, so maybe I need to replace the tensioner and spring?

This all depends on your engine. You might be referring to the timing gear and the balance shaft/distributor drive gear. I believe they are the same size. Depending on the vintage of your engine, the washer should go behind the timing gear, later engines don't seem to need them. Recheck your tensioner, it needs to be pressed flush against the block and if you're not careful, it will not seat fully and begin to walk the timing belt off the gears.
The B230 is a non-interference engine, but you may have slipped more than 2 teeth somewhere, especially if you have a side-mounted distributor (I don't have that).
