I am in need of a Bosch MAS for my RUF BTR C-4 The RUF part is NLA It is a
Bosch # 0280217001 or a Volvo #3517881 There are only Chinese repos that RUF already tested and they are junk. Have leads on good used but prefer NOS or next to new. HELP! Tkx Jim F

per the volvo 240 parts catalog, that MAF is interchangable with bosch 0.280.212.016 aka volvo 3517020, which was used on all LH2.4 240/740/940 including turbo from 1989+

no, will not work, just looked them up and they have the newer 6-pin connector, have additional heat functions and then you need additional parts and wiring harness changes, not something I would dare tackle because of complicated Porsche/RUF computer interface.

is the Ruf LH2.2 or LH2.4 ? Volvo used LH2.2 up through 1988.

LH2.2 used MAF Volvo Part 1346645, Bosch 0.280.212.007

OH wait, there's the WEIRD one, LH 3.1, which SOME 240's used, that **** is scarce.

and yeah, thats what your number is, LH 3.1, used on SOME 240's from 1990-1993, I've never seen one, most cars those years were LH 2.4.

LH 3.1 is not the engine size, thats the version of the Bosch LH engine management.

you should be able to find rebuilt bosch units, I would expect those to be good. try www.fcpeuro.com and www.ipdusa.com, both those places cater to the older Volvo marketplace and tend to only carry what works.
