Default Just Bought a '90 740 GL

Hey all, I just bought a 1990 740GL yesterday. It's actually my second Volvo, my first car was the same exact model

It has about 270,000 miles on it and has a few issues. I think most of it can be taken care of with a general tune up. But I wanted some insight on a few things.

It has a REALLY bad hesitation at all speeds, but it is most significant starting off from a stop. If you give it any more than like 15-20% throttle you get nothing. No acceleration at all, it's like you're not doing anyhting at all, the RPMs just sit there. you basically just have to baby foot it till you get up to speed....which as you can imagine, takes forever. This sound like a common problem? It also has a rough idle and stalls at a stop frequently.

I am planning on using some throttle body cleaner and giving it a good cleaning tonight. I then plan on changing out the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air and fuel filters. The oil and filter will be chaged as well. I am hoping that will clear it up and the car will drive fine.

After that I will troubleshoot from there. I also need ot get the a/c looked at and fixed. The previous owner said the system is fine it just has a leak.

Thanks guys!
