Latest question on rear lights - bulb failure relay
90 240 DL with what seems to be fairly common rear light problems.
I managed to get the drivers side (left) tail lights working.
The right side (passenger) does not have power going to the connector. From what I can tell looking at wiring diagrams for nearly the same model, the wires going to the tail light go through the bulb failure warning relay.
Can anybody give me some advice on how to diagnose the cause for no power going to the right tail light?
What about the relay or checking power to it?

sheck the tail lamp connector most of the time they get burned and melt plastic onto the terminal in the pigtail. a small file usually cleans it up.
If that looks fine, check the sockets make sure the contacts of the socket that face the board are angled up slightly so they will put against the board when the socket is locked in place.
if all that is good.
Check the fuses.
Fuses good. Replace failure relay.

I checked the continuity between the left and right lamps (i.e. brake light to brake light, tail to tail etc.) and there was continuity. However, with the switch on and the lights turned on so the left was lighted, the right did not have power to any of the pins on the connector.
Sounds like the next step is the bulb failure relay... waiting for part from FCP.
Any other ideas?
