if your stock headlights are faded yellow and hazy like most 87+ 240's are by now, replace teh whole lamp/reflector assembly first. Depo makes quite good OE replacements for a fraction of the price
problem with LED replacement headlights, they need a big heatsink sticking out the back, I'm not sure if there's room for this in the 240, but having said that "JDM AStar 8th gen" are supposed to be very good and give an almost stock light pattern. There's also a Phillips LED replacement bulb, but they aren't available in the USA.
