01 S60

My headlamp switch doesnt seem to do anything? The headlamps and interior gauge lights come on when I start the car (day or night) and stay ON regardless of where the headlamp turn-**** is? They go OFF when I shut off the car of course.

Any thoughts on whats going on here?

What about the Middle position. That should only be parking lights.
The dimmer only works on the right side position.

 

My 01 S60 is like that from day 1. Headlight stays on regardless the switch position. Have no idea if this is by design or defect. But it doesn't bother me. But this is a Canadian spec car, not sure about the US spec. Canada car need to have DRL on all the time.
