Default Light on dash board

What is the amber light on the dashboard with a picture of a light bulb with an x though it. I don't have an owners manual and just bought the car. Also what does it mean if it flashes?

You have a light out somewhere. Turn your lights on and walk around the car looking for one out. If you don't see one have someone step on the brake pedal and look for one of those to be out.

and make sure you place the bulb with the right voltage and the same type ..all bulbs should be the same i.e. aluminum base or copper

If you have trouble getting light to go out replace bulbs on both sides. With the same make bulb. The way the sensor works is by comparing the two sides and tripping the light if they measure differently. Sensor can go bad too but this is rare.

I have this issue all the time. I replace all the bulbs that are out and its still warns me. Is there any way to just disable the sensor all together

Other than re-wiring all the lights, no!

When you replace a bulb do you replace its opposite number at the same time? Some of the sensors will not accept one new bulb.

I had so many troubles with my light out sensor coming on with all lights working fine that somehow the bulb disappeared from the back of the cluster. Don't know how it happened but no more light blaring at me.....
